Overall, I am very happy with this purchaes, and the price couldn't be beat. Shipped free and was at my doorstep in 4 days. Installation could not have been easier. A cordless drill & a hex driver and it was installed in less than 5 minutes with the included self-tapping screws. Storage volume is impressive and very handy for keeping your truck bed uncluttered. Quality seems to be very solid.
I have two recommended improvements. 1) It was necessary for me to remove the rear factory tie-down point. There was no way around it (2009 F-150 SC). The manufacturer should really come up with a solution to solve this problem, as I use my tie-down points pretty regularly. 2) Manufacturer should make some sort of locking mechanism so that the box cannot be removed from the truck, yet retains its ability to swing out. Currently, you can lock the box from being removed, but you also cannot swing it out. This could be attained by putting a locking mechanism at the top of the hinge, rather than in the middle.
I bought one for the drivers side, and would definately consider buying the matching box for the passenger side if I need more storage.

This Swing Case is the best storage I could find for my 2008 F-150. It is not really a work-truck so a full tool box was a bit over-kill. This solution was perfect and I am considering adding a passenger side case as well. Installation was easy (took more time to cut my plastic liner than the actual install) and looks fantastic! Always getting a "wow, that is cool" response from people I show it swing out...beats the heck out of climbing in the back for a quick tool. Great job UnderCover!

Do not buy this box if you are expeting to just reach over the side of the bed and open it. IT DOESN"T! I thought it was a mistake in mounting that the doors would barely open while tucked in. The only way to open them is to swing them out. Basically if you have a load on your truck and can't swing them out, you better not need anything in the swing case to tie them down or for any other need... Great idea..poor design and thought process
